Every once in a while you crave something refreshing and bubbly and this drink is sure to hit the spot! Try making this simple drink instead of the sugar-laden version found at restaurants. When you make it with berries (as opposed to other fruit like peaches, etc…) it is a sipper drink and can be enjoyed with any type of meal.
Ingredients you’ll need.
“Sonic”-Style Strawberry Limeade (THM FP)
1 lime, juiced
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 t. THM Sweetblend (feel free to add more depending on how sweet you like it)
1/8 t. THM stevia
3-4 slices of frozen strawberries (As long as you don’t eat the strawberries or blend them up in this drink it will remain an FP Sipper-the fruit just kind of infuses the flavors into the drink. Feel free to try out other fruits such as cherries, raspberries, peaches, mango, etc…)
Ice to fill a quart mason jar
Club Soda (I use sparkling water that we make with our Soda Stream)
Pour lime and lemon juice into a quart mason jar (I use the Pampered Chef citrus press to quickly and easily juice my lime and lemon). Add sweeteners, berry slices and ice then fill up the rest of the way with club soda. Stir well and enjoy!
Note: My sister and her husband really enjoy this drink and they said that it is even better if you chop up the strawberries and let them “steep” in the citrus juices for about an hour prior to making the drink. I haven’t gotten a chance to try it yet, but it sounds like a great idea!
