Traditional, elegant and timeless is how I would best describe my photography style. That is what you can expect from my portraits, but I also enjoy photo-journalistic style for detail shots. My family is my most photographed subject, so you will likely see them on this blog, but I also love to capture the bond between mamas and their babies, children, brides, landscape photography and home photography.
Since childhood, photography was always a part of my life. My family regularly had portraits taken by local photographers, so pictures were just a normal part of life. The family memories that were captured, hung on our walls, graced our tables and were displayed in albums. I am so grateful that my family made preserving those memories a priority, as one can never get those times back.
My personal photography journey began early in my life. As a young girl, I took a camera to summer kid’s camp each year and also on my long trips to Russia and Germany. The images that I took during those experiences and others are special to me and I still enjoy looking back at those pictures with fondness.
The photography passion only heightened as I started my own family. Preserving moments in time is high on my priority list and the photographs of my children and family are my most valued earthly treasures. I wouldn’t trade them for anything. When my husband and I got married, purchasing a good camera was one of the first things we did. That was before the digital age, so I began learning with film photography. About 10 years ago, I switched over from film to digital and I have never looked back.
My goal is to create special lasting memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
