How, When and Why I Earn Money on Joyful Jane.
Before I started blogging, I had no idea about the time and cost involved. Maintaining a website takes time and money. Turns out there’s a lot of back-end stuff with blogging and costs like hosting and domain name registration and junk. I like the fun stuff: the writing, photography & cooking! Did you know that each blog post I write takes an average of 4-6 hours to publish, not counting recipe development & cooking? Crazy, huh!?!! It’s a good I love what I do.

Product Reviews and Sponsored Posts
I love to share books, products, and brands that I respect and use. Frequently, I share items here just because I like the product or book with no compensation or knowledge from the companies or authors.
Sometimes I work with an author, a small business owner, or a company to review their product or I’m paid to write about how I use it. I promise that I will always tell you when that is the case. Disclaimer for Joyful Jane.
The short & sweet version:
Thanks for visiting! My blog is a resource guide for educational and informational purposes. And sometimes it’s me venting about the time my girl tried to wear gloves as socks, and how I got fly paper stuck in my hair right before a date. You know–the usual.
To write my articles, I use my experiences, the experiences of others and various and sundry resources including but not limited to the wild wild web, the Encyclopedia Britannica, my extensive collection of Far Side books, any herb books I can get my hands on, and/or The Bible. That said, my advice doesn’t come with any guarantees. By visiting this site, you’re essentially signing a contract that says that you understand that I am a house frau and not a doctor, practicing herbalist, nor personal chef, and you won’t try to sue me or report me to the Obama administration. Because that would be awkward.

Two words:Be nice. As people, and women especially, we already spend too much time tearing each other down and competing with one another. This is not the place for harsh criticisms or negativity. We are in this together. We’re on the same team! And while I welcome ideas from readers of all walks of life, I simply ask that those ideas be expressed with respect for one another and a little (or, if the situation warrants, BIG) drop of grace.
